What a tool run costs
Tool runs are charged in credits, between 0 and 15 per run. The cost is shown on the tool before you run it, so nothing is ever charged as a surprise.
What determines the cost
The price reflects what the tool actually has to do:
| Cost | What it buys |
|---|---|
| 0 credits | Calculators, template generators and checks we can do ourselves — DNS and HTTP lookups. Genuinely free. |
| 2 credits | A single AI generation — most content and copy generators. |
| 5 credits | A vision model, a paid search-results lookup, or a keyword-data call. |
| 10 credits | Two paid data sources, or an audit combined with a page-speed check. |
| 15 credits | Many upstream calls at once — ad-library sweeps and multi-competitor comparisons. |
A large share of the library costs nothing to run.
Repeat runs are free
Running the same tool on the same input again is served from cache and is not charged a second time. Cached results last from about a week for lighter tools up to a fortnight or more for data-heavy ones.
So there is no need to save a result out of fear of paying twice — re-running the same lookup shortly afterwards costs nothing.
Checking your balance
Tool runs come out of the same credit balance as everything else — audits, the website builder, email. Your balance is Credits at the top of your account menu (your profile in the top bar), and Credits available on your workspace's Plan & usage page. New accounts start with 20 free credits, topped up to 20 each month. See Credits, plans and billing.
Next: open your account menu to check Credits before starting an expensive run.
