Reading a tool's results
Results appear on the right of the tool in two parts.
Output
What the tool found or produced — the check's findings, or the generated text. Generated output can be copied; the button confirms with Copied.
Recommendations
What to do about it. This is the part worth reading properly. The Output is evidence; the Recommendations are the actions, and most people skim the first and skip the second.
Work top-down, not all at once
A checker on a real site usually returns more findings than anyone will act on. The recommendations are ordered, so take the first two or three, change them, and re-run — rather than opening twenty tabs and finishing none.
Re-running after a change
Free, if the inputs are identical — served from cache. To see the effect of a fix you need the underlying page to have actually changed, and for some checks you also need the change to be live rather than in a staging environment.
If a re-run returns an identical result after a genuine change, see Are tool results cached?.
Results are a snapshot
A checker reports what it saw at that moment. Anything measuring search visibility or competitors will drift, so treat a result as a reading rather than a permanent fact — and re-run before quoting an old number in a report.
Next: run a tool, then read Recommendations before Output — that is the part you can act on.
