Design and caption planned posts

Open a saved calendar and click any planned post. A panel opens with the post's Design, Caption, The idea, When and where, Review and publish and Comments. Click any text to edit it.

Generate a design

In Design, pick a Size: 1:1 square, 4:5 portrait, 9:16 story or reel, or 16:9 landscape. Under the sizes, each platform says whether it fits. You make one design; where another platform suits a different size better, it says "we'll also make" that size, and the same design is drawn in both at no extra cost. Each platform then gets its own version when it publishes.

Image style and Layout default to Auto, which picks for you. Click Generate design to start. Designing usually takes under a minute.

What it costs (the button shows the number before you click):

• Image, carousel or story: up to 6 credits. A design built from real pictures, without a generated photo, costs 1.
• Reel (short video): 30 credits.
• Text posts need no design.

To change a design, click Redesign with feedback, say what should change, and click Redesign (one credit more than a new design), or Same brief, new visual. Earlier versions stay under the versions button. Upload or pick from library uses your own file instead, at no cost.

To design many at once, tick planned posts on the calendar and use the bar that appears, for example Generate 5 designs · 30 credits. It shows the total first.

Captions

Edit the caption, Hashtags and Call to action directly. Rewrite with a note costs 1 credit: tell it what to change, such as "shorter" or "add the discount code". Older versions can be brought back with Use this, free.

Stories

A post with the Story format is always 9:16 and goes out as a story, not a feed post. Instagram takes one image or one video up to 60 seconds; Facebook takes one image only. Stories show no caption. Platforms without stories are flagged on the post.

From design to scheduled

The moment a post has a design, it becomes a draft post on the calendar. Nothing to click. A text post needs Save as draft post. Then tick it on the calendar and click the button in the bar, for example Schedule 3 (or Submit 3 for approval). Pinterest, YouTube Shorts and Threads posts are posted by hand: use Download design.
