Write a social post, then publish it now or schedule it

Open this in your dashboard

Click New post on any Social Media tab. You write the post once and send it to as many connected accounts as you like.

1. Pick where it goes

Under Post to, click each account to include it. The composer remembers your last choice for next time. An account that can't publish is greyed out with the reason, such as Publishing paused or Needs reconnecting.

2. Write it

Type the text in the main box. Then, if you need them:

  • Add photo or video: upload a file or pick one from Choose media, your media library.
  • Add a first comment: posted as a comment right after the post goes live. Useful for hashtags on Instagram or links on LinkedIn. TikTok doesn't allow this, so it is skipped there.
  • Customise for Instagram (or LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok): different wording for one platform. It appears when you pick more than one platform. Leave it empty to use the shared text.

For TikTok, choose Post to TikTok or Send to my TikTok drafts. Posting directly needs you to pick who can view the video. Nothing is picked for you.

3. Check it

A checklist shows each platform with a tick, a warning or an error naming the exact problem, such as a file over the size limit. Errors block sending. On a wide screen a live preview sits beside the form.

4. Publish now or schedule

Under When to post:

  • Leave it blank and the button reads Publish now. The post goes out as soon as you click it, and the result for each account appears below: Published with a View the post link, Not published with the reason, or Needs checking.
  • Pick a date and time and the button reads Schedule. The post goes out on its own at that time, and shows on the Posts tab until then.

Publishing is live and public immediately. Check the preview first.

If your workspace requires approval, the button reads Submit for approval instead, and nothing goes out until someone approves it. See Review and approve posts.

Save as draft

Save as draft keeps the post without publishing or scheduling it. Every draft is listed on the Posts tab with a Draft label — click Edit draft to reopen it, then schedule or publish it from there. Drafts also show in the month view of a saved calendar; ones with no date wait in Drafts with no date yet. To send several at once, tick the dated drafts on the calendar and click the button in the bar that appears, for example Schedule 3.

Next: to stop a scheduled post, click Cancel on it in the Posts tab.
