Duplicate a campaign or edit a sent one as a copy

Duplicate

Duplicate copies the campaign into a new draft. Name, audience, sender, subject and content all come across, and the copy starts as a Draft so nothing sends until you schedule it.

Use it for anything you send regularly — a weekly newsletter is usually last week's campaign duplicated and edited.

Edit as a copy

Edit as a copy appears on campaigns that have already been sent. It does the same duplication and then opens the new draft's designer directly.

It exists because a campaign that has already sent cannot have its content changed. That is deliberate: the email is already in people's inboxes, so editing the record would only make your reporting disagree with what was actually delivered. Branching a fresh draft is the honest alternative, and this does it in one step instead of duplicate, hunt for the copy, then open it.

What does not carry over

The copy is a new campaign, so it has its own statistics. Opens and clicks from the original stay with the original.

The schedule does not come across either — a duplicate is always a draft.

Next: open Campaigns, use Actions → Duplicate, then edit the copy.
