Data sources and missing numbers
The Data sources tab in Analytics shows what feeds the page and whether each feed is up to date. When a number looks missing, wrong or stuck, start here.
What each source feeds
| Source | Feeds |
|---|---|
| Google Analytics | Traffic, conversions and revenue for every channel |
| Search Console | SEO clicks, impressions and position |
| Google Ads | Spend, clicks and conversions for Google Ads |
| Meta Ads | Spend, clicks and results for Meta Ads |
| Store | Orders and revenue to reconcile against |
| Social accounts | Posts published and their engagement |
| Brainito pixel | Visits and visitors on your website |
| Sends, clicks and revenue from your campaigns |
The table also shows the connected Account and when each source was Last updated.
Statuses
- Connected: working.
- Needs attention: connected, but something is wrong. Click Reconnect.
- Not connected: click Connect.
- Always on: built in. Email needs no connection.
The buttons take you to Integrations, where connections are made. The Data sources tab only shows how they feed Analytics.
"Some numbers on this page are incomplete"
This yellow banner on the Overview lists each source whose data stopped arriving, with the reason and the last day it has data for:
- "The connection needs to be reconnected." Access expired or was removed. Reconnect it.
- "Part of the sync is failing", with what is failing.
- "It has not synced in over two days."
- "Its first sync has not completed." Normal for a new connection. Give it time.
While a source is late, spend, return on ad spend and revenue for the affected days will read too low. Don't act on them until the banner clears. Insights drop to Low confidence: some data is late for the same reason.
Other common causes
- No ad spend or ROAS cards. No ad account is connected. These cards only appear once one is.
- Today looks low. Traffic sources report a day late. Look at Yesterday.
- Channels but no sources. "Sources per channel appear once the detailed sync has run."
- "First sync in progress" under the title: a new connection hasn't finished its first sync.
- Revenue near zero. Check Currency under Settings. A chosen currency leaves out orders in any other currency.
Next: open Analytics → Data sources and click Connect or Reconnect on anything that isn't Connected.
