Ask your data a question

Ask your data answers a question about your marketing in plain words, using only this workspace's own numbers. Click Ask your data at the top of Analytics → Overview. A panel opens on the right.

Asking

Type your question in the box (placeholder: Ask about sales, visitors, ads…) and press Enter. Shift+Enter adds a new line. Questions can be up to 500 characters.

Not sure what to ask? The panel starts with four examples you can click:

• How did last week compare with the week before?
• Which channel brings the most sales for the money?
• What was my best day this month, and why?
• Is my Meta advertising worth it?

You can ask follow-up questions in the same panel and it keeps the thread. The conversation isn't saved: leaving or reloading the page clears it.

What it can see

It reads the same figures the Analytics page uses: visitors, orders or conversions, revenue, ad spend, return on ad spend and conversion rate, in total, per day and per channel and source. It can't see another workspace, and it can't see anything that isn't connected.

Under each answer, Looked at: lists the periods it checked, so you can check the figures yourself on the page.

The daily limit

Each workspace can ask 40 questions in any 24 hours, shared by everyone in the workspace. After that you'll see:

The count rolls over 24 hours after each question, not at midnight. Asking doesn't use credits.

When it can't answer

• "Couldn't answer that just now. Try again in a minute." A temporary problem. Wait a moment and ask again.
• "Couldn't reach the server. Try again." Check your connection.
• An answer that says the data isn't there. It answers only from what is connected. If you ask about ad spend with no ad account connected, there is nothing to answer from. Check the Data sources tab.
