The monthly report

The monthly report is a full write-up of last month: what happened, where you're losing sales, what isn't paying off, and what to change to grow. It is the Monthly report tab in Analytics. If you don't see that tab, it isn't switched on for your workspace yet.

What's in it

• What to change to grow: the changes most likely to help next month, most important first.
• Where you're losing sales and leads, and What isn't paying off.
• What your marketing earned: every campaign that month and what it brought back.
• Where your customers came from: each channel against the month before.
• You and your competitors: your site against up to three competitors, using estimates for every site, yours included.
• Your goals for the month, if you have set goals.
• Get a fuller report next month: sources to connect for a more complete report.

Build it

A report covers a whole month, so the latest one you can build is last month. Click Build report, or Build the report on the empty page. It takes a minute or two while it reads your numbers and checks your competitors.

Rebuild makes it again with the latest data, for example after you connect a new source. You can rebuild once every 30 minutes. Building is free.

Past months are in the month menu.

Download, share and email

• Download PDF: anyone in the workspace.
• Share → Create a link: anyone with the link can read that month's report and download the PDF, and nothing else in Brainito. The link is copied for you. Turn off the link stops it working.
• Email now: sends the report, with the PDF attached, to the chosen recipients. You only see this button when report emails are on for your workspace.

Who gets it and which competitors

Click Settings on the report page. It has two tabs:

• Who gets it: choose up to 5 addresses from your team, or type another address, such as a client, and click Add. With nobody chosen, it goes to the workspace owner.
• Competitors: up to 3 competitor websites. It starts with the ones saved in your marketing plan and social strategy. Changes apply the next time you build, so click Rebuild after saving.

Click Save. The panel also says whether reports are emailed on the 1st by themselves, only via Email now, or not at all.

Who can do what

Only an owner or admin can build, rebuild, share, email or change settings. Everyone else sees "An owner or admin can build it."
