What the Analytics page shows

Analytics puts your website traffic, sales and ad spend on one page, split by marketing channel. Open Marketing Manager in the sidebar and choose Analytics. It has an Overview tab, a Data sources tab and, if it is switched on for your workspace, a Monthly report tab.

What's on the Overview

  1. A written summary and up to five insights, each labelled Win, Needs attention, Opportunity or Keep an eye on, with a link to the next step. Mark one Useful or Not useful with the thumbs. If you can edit the workspace, you can add it to your Action Board.
  2. The headline numbers: Revenue, Orders (or Conversions when there are no store orders to count), Visitors, Conversion rate, Avg. order, Ad spend and ROAS. Hover the info icon on a card for what it means and how it is worked out. Ad spend and ROAS appear once an ad account is connected.
  3. Day by day: Against normal shades the range a day usually falls in; By channel stacks the days by channel. Dotted lines mark the days your emails and posts went out.
  4. Goals, and the Shopping funnel if the Brainito pixel is on your store. See Set goals.
  5. By channel: see Channels and sources.

Choosing the date range

Use the pills at the top: Today, Yesterday, Last 7 days, Last 30 days (the default) or Custom. Last 7 days is today plus the six days before it. Custom takes a From and To date, up to 366 days, then Apply. Days follow your browser's time zone.

Some sources report a day late, so Today usually looks low. Use Yesterday or Last 7 days for trends.

Reading the comparison

Every number is compared with the period of the same length just before it. The arrow is green when the move is good and red when it is bad; for Ad spend, up counts as bad. Under each number:

  • Normal · was and the old value: within the usual wobble.
  • Unusually high or Unusually low: a bigger move than normal, worth a look.
  • Not connected: nothing feeds this number yet.

Small numbers swing a lot, so 4 orders becoming 6 is rarely flagged.

The other buttons

The line under the title says All data fresh or how many data sources are late. See Data sources and missing numbers.

Next: open Marketing Manager → Analytics and switch to Last 7 days.
