Publish your site

Your site runs on a Vercel account you own, and its code can be saved to your GitHub. In the editor, click Publish at the top right. The first time, the Go live window opens so you can set this up once; after that, Publish updates the live site directly.

Step 1: Hosting

Click Connect Vercel and sign in. A free Vercel account is enough, and you can create one during this step. You come back to the same window afterwards.

If you have more than one Vercel account or team, pick the one to use.

Click Connect GitHub to keep the site's code in a private repository in your GitHub, so it is always yours. Every publish saves the new version there. Choose Don't save the code to GitHub to skip it; you can add it later.

Then click Set up hosting. This creates the project in Vercel (and the repository in GitHub) and takes a few seconds.

Step 3: Your domain (optional)

Point your own domain at the site — see Connect your own domain. Without one, the site is reachable at its Vercel address once published.

Publish

Click Publish. Publishing runs in the background and takes a minute or two. You can keep working; a message tells you when it is live, with a link to open it.

Publishing puts the current version on the public internet straight away. Check the preview first.

After the first publish

The top-right button shows where you are:

  • Published — the live site matches the editor.
  • Update site, with a small dot — you have changes that are not live yet. Click it to publish them.
  • Publishing… — a publish is running.

Publishing is free; it costs no credits.

Who can publish

Anyone who can edit the workspace. People with view-only access don't see the button.

Deleting a site

More (top right) → Delete website asks you to type the site's name. The preview stops and the site leaves the workspace, freeing a slot; its versions, chat and form submissions are kept. A copy already published to your Vercel keeps working — remove it there if you want it gone too.

Next: click Publish and finish step 1 — it is the only step required.
