What access a connection asks for
A reasonable thing to check before connecting anything. The short version: store and analytics connections are read-only, the few that can act for you only do so when you ask, and you can disconnect at any time.
Read-only: stores and analytics
For your store and analytics accounts we read the data needed to build your audiences and report on performance. We do not create, edit or delete anything there: connecting Brainito cannot change your storefront or your products.
Connections that can act for you
Some connections exist so Brainito can do something on your behalf, and only when you ask:
- Meta ad accounts: create, pause, resume and change budgets of campaigns from Paid Ads, within your daily spend cap.
- Social accounts: publish the posts you schedule or publish.
- Website hosting (GitHub, Vercel): publish your Brainito website when you click publish.
Real-time rather than one-off
A connection keeps syncing after the initial import, so contacts and metrics stay current. That is why it is a connection rather than an upload.
Disconnecting
Disconnect from the same Connections page at any time. You are asked to confirm first, since it stops the sync.
Data that has already synced — contacts, for instance — stays in your account after disconnecting. It simply stops being updated. That is deliberate: your audiences and campaign history should not evaporate because you unplugged a store.
The approval screen is the provider's
When you connect Shopify, Meta or Google Ads, the permissions screen you approve is theirs, not ours, and it lists exactly what is being granted. Read it there — it is the authoritative statement of what access you are giving.
Next: open Connections and click Connect on the provider you want.
