Check a connection is working

Open this in your dashboard

Open a connection from the Connections page. Its detail page has three sections: Health & data, Sync progress and Where new contacts go.

Sync progress

Shows how far the initial import has got, and how much has arrived.

Two states are worth recognising:

  • Setting up — the connection is authorised and the first pull is being prepared.
  • Waiting for first sync — connected, but nothing has arrived yet.

Neither is a fault. A large store takes a while, and an ad account with no recent lead-form submissions has nothing to send until someone fills a form in.

Health & data

Shows what is arriving, including Contacts, how many came With email, and for ad connections a per-Form breakdown with a Received count.

The With email figure is the one to look at. Leads without an email address cannot be emailed however many arrive, and a form collecting only a phone number will produce a healthy-looking count and no mailable contacts.

An ad account with no forms says No lead forms on this account, which is a configuration answer rather than a sync failure.

Where new contacts go

The routing rules for this connection. If leads are arriving but landing nowhere, this is where to look — see Route ad leads into the right list.

What is stored

The page states plainly What we store from this account and What we don't take. Worth reading once, particularly before connecting a client's account — it is a clearer answer than any summary here.

Next: open Connections, click the connection, and check Sync progress before assuming something is broken.
