How you are billed
Everything is paid in credits from one balance. Money changes hands in only two ways: your monthly plan, and any top-ups you buy.
What you pay for in money
- Your monthly plan — charged on each renewal date, and adds that plan's credits to your balance. Switching plans mid-period is prorated on your next invoice.
- Top-ups — charged once, when you buy them, for accounts on a monthly plan.
- The $5 single report — only on an audit report page, for that one report.
There is no overage bill and no charge per contact.
How email is charged
Email is 25 credits per 1,000 emails, taken from your balance — not invoiced. The charge is made hourly: one charge per hour for the emails sent in it, for example "1,200 emails sent". Sends that do not add up to a whole credit (under 40 emails) are carried into the next hour.
Plan & usage shows Emails this month with roughly what they cost in credits.
Older plans, contracts and Shopify
- An old email plan that has not renewed yet still covers your sending, and Plan & usage shows its details, including Renews. After it renews, sending uses credits.
- Enterprise contracts are invoiced per 1,000 emails as agreed, not paid in credits. Plan & usage shows How you are billed and an Estimated usage this month, and may say Custom limits have been applied to this account — the figures on the page are the ones that apply to you, not the general price list.
- Billed through Shopify: you see Manage in Shopify instead of our own billing controls, because the subscription lives on Shopify's side. Changes and invoices happen there.
Invoices
Settings → Plan & billing → Subscription & invoices lists your Invoice History, with a link to view each one. Manage Subscription opens the secure billing portal for receipts and your payment method. A new account shows No invoices yet. Plan & usage also has a Billing history for the last 12 months.
Next: open Settings → Plan & billing to see your next renewal and your invoices.
