Create a Meta ad campaign
Click New campaign at the top of any Paid Ads page. The builder creates the campaign in your connected Meta ad account, paused, so nothing spends until you turn it on.
Campaigns can only be built for Meta for now. Without a Meta account connected you see No Meta ad account connected and a Go to connections button.
There are four steps, with a live preview of the ad beside the form.
1. Goal
Choose what the campaign should do: Collect leads, Send people to your site, Drive sales, Get engagement, Get seen by more people or Get app installs. The goal cannot be changed after publishing.
Then enter a Campaign name. Ad set name is optional; leave it empty to reuse the campaign name.
2. Audience & budget
- Countries — two-letter codes, comma separated, for example
US, GB. - Daily budget — in your ad account's currency. The line underneath shows the workspace's cap. See The daily spend cap.
- Starts and Ends — leave Ends empty and it runs until you pause it.
- Facebook Page — needed for Collect leads.
3. Ad
- Lead form — for Collect leads.
- Image — picked from your Media library. Upload one under Media first if the library is empty.
- Primary text, Headline and Link. Link is required for Send people to your site and must start with
https://.
Drive sales optimises toward purchases, so it needs a Meta Pixel. In Audience & budget, choose it under Meta Pixel — the list shows the Pixels on your ad account. If none are found, paste the Pixel ID from Meta Events Manager instead. The Pixel must be installed on your site and firing purchase events, or Meta has nothing to optimise toward.
4. Review and publish
Check the summary, then click the button at the bottom:
- Publish (paused) creates the campaign in Meta and opens its page. The campaign, its ad set and the ad are all created paused. When you are ready, click Resume on the campaign in the Campaigns list and on its ad set. Brainito has no switch for the ad itself yet, so if nothing delivers, check in Meta Ads Manager that the ad is active too.
- Submit for approval appears if an agency manages your workspace. The campaign goes to them (Sent to your agency for approval.) and is not created in Meta until they publish it.
If something needs fixing, the step with the problem turns red and the builder jumps back to it, with the reason under the field.
Resuming starts spending on the budget you set. Check the budget and dates before you click Resume.
Next: open Paid Ads, click New campaign, and have your image in Media before you start.
