What the Checker Finds

It runs a live search across Yelp, Yellow Pages, Facebook, LinkedIn, the Better Business Bureau, Foursquare, Tripadvisor and Trustpilot for your exact business name and location. How the NAP Check Works

Add your phone number and the checker compares it with each listing it finds. A listing that shows a different number, often an old one left behind after a move, is flagged so you can correct it at the source. Matching names, addresses and phone numbers across directories is what NAP consistency means.

Fixing Missing and Inconsistent Citations

Claim or create a listing on each directory you are missing, using exactly the same name, address and phone as your Google Business Profile. Then open every flagged listing and update it. Directories copy data from one another, so fixing the biggest ones first stops errors spreading.
