See who is in a list
Open a list from the Audiences page — the Actions menu has View, and the row itself is clickable.
The list page shows its contacts with Name, Email and Status, a search box for name or email, and Previous / Next paging. Back to audiences returns you.
Subscribed and Not subscribed
The Status column reads Subscribed or Not subscribed.
Not subscribed does not mean they were removed. They are still in the list — they simply will not be emailed. That covers people who unsubscribed, and people who never gave marketing consent in the first place, which is common on lists built from ad leads.
This is the detail behind the "N mailable from M" hint in the campaign builder: M counts everyone here, N counts only the subscribed and deliverable. See What "N mailable from M" means.
Finding one person
Use the search box. It matches name or email, so a partial address is enough.
If someone is not in the list you expected, check whether you are in the right workspace — lists belong to a workspace, and contacts imported into one are not visible in another.
You cannot re-subscribe someone here
Deliberately. If a contact reads Not subscribed because they opted out, that is their decision, and switching it back by hand would be both a deliverability problem and, in most places, a legal one. Re-importing them from a CSV does not override it either.
Next: open Audiences, click into the list, and use the search box to check a specific contact.
