Edit or rewrite a Brand Kit section

Every section can be corrected by hand for free, or rewritten for 10 credits. Open the kit and use the buttons in the section's header.

Edit by hand (free)

Click Edit on a section. Its fields open; change what you need. Changes save as you go. Click Done to return to the normal view.

Once you edit a section it is tagged Edited by you.

A few useful edits:

• Logo — Upload logo or Replace logo, and set its alt text.
• Color Palette — change a colour with the picker or by typing its code, or remove one. The kit holds a primary, secondary and accent colour; a missing one has a button such as Add accent colour.
• Typography — change Heading font or Body font.

Rewrite a section (10 credits)

On a finished kit, drafted sections have New version. (Logo, colours and fonts are read from your site, so they are edited, not rewritten.)

1. Click New version.
2. Say what to change — e.g. "more playful, shorter, mention our free delivery" — or leave it empty for a fresh take.
3. Click Write it (10 credits).

The current text stays visible, dimmed, while the new one is written. If it can't be written, your credits are returned and you are asked to try again in a minute.

You can rewrite up to 20 sections per kit per day.

Undo

After a rewrite, Undo brings the previous version back. Use it if the new version is worse.

A section that couldn't be drafted

It shows "This section couldn't be drafted. Retry (free), or fill it in below." Click Retry to draft it again at no cost, or type it in yourself — the empty form is already open.

Editing vs a new kit

Editing changes this kit. To read your website again from scratch — after a redesign, say — make a new version of the whole kit (100 credits) from the Version menu.
