Open this in your dashboard

In the List view, tick the box beside each task you want to change, or tick the header box to select every task shown. A bar appears at the bottom with the number selected and the changes you can make.

The selection bar

  • Status — move every selected task to one status.
  • Add assignee — add one person to every selected task. Unassign everyone clears the assignees.
  • Due date — give them all the same due date.
  • Duplicate, Paste and Delete — see below.

If you aren't allowed to change some of the tasks, they're skipped and the confirmation tells you how many. That happens with tasks assigned to other people, or reviews that you can't approve.

Duplicate a task

Choose Duplicate from a task's menu, the task panel or the selection bar. The dialog lets you choose what the copies keep:

  • Task name, and whether to Add "(copy)" to each name.
  • Include — Category, Assignees, Notes, Priority, Due date, Subtasks and Attachments. Every option except attachments is ticked to begin with.
  • Copies — up to 12 of each task, and up to 100 tasks in one go.
  • Due dates — Same due date, 1 day later each, 1 week later each, 2 weeks later each or 1 month later each.

Copies start in To Do at the top of the list. To set up a monthly routine, duplicate a task with Copies set to the number of months and 1 month later each.

Copy fields to other tasks

Copy fields on one task holds onto its category, assignees, due date and priority. Then choose Paste fields from another task's menu, or select several tasks and click Paste. Tick the fields to copy across. Each ticked field replaces what the task has, even if the copied value is empty.

Delete

Delete is shown only on tasks you created, or to owners and admins. The task disappears straight away and an Undo button stays up for a few seconds. Once that's gone, the task, its comments and subtasks are deleted for good.

Reorder

In the Board view, drag cards within a column or into another column. To drag rows in the List view, first click the grip icon in the header (Sort by custom order).

Next: Filter, group and export tasks.
