Export your data or delete your account
Both live in Settings, under Danger zone: "Download a copy of your data, or permanently delete your account."
Export your data
Click Export my data. You get a copy of what we hold for your account.
Worth doing before deleting, and worth doing occasionally regardless — it is the simplest way to have your own copy of your contacts and campaign history.
Delete your account
Click Delete my account. You are asked to type DELETE to confirm.
That confirmation step is there because this is not reversible. Deletion removes your account and its data, including contacts, audiences, campaigns and reports.
Before you delete
- Export first. Once deletion completes there is nothing to recover.
- Cancel your monthly plan separately if you have one — deleting the account is not a billing action. Use Settings → Plan & billing → Subscription & invoices → Manage Subscription (or Manage in Shopify if you are billed through Shopify).
- Disconnect stores and ad accounts if you want the connection removed on their side too.
Deleting is not instant
Deletion is a lifecycle, not a switch — the account is closed immediately, and the underlying data is erased on a delayed schedule. That delay is deliberate: it is the window in which an accidental or malicious deletion can still be addressed.
If you deleted by mistake, contact support promptly rather than waiting.
Deleting a contact instead
If the goal is removing one person rather than closing your account, do that from Contacts. And if the aim is simply to stop emailing them, suppression is usually the better tool — see The suppression list.
Next: open Settings → Danger zone and use Export my data before anything else.
